Story Behind the Work:
This piece is a love letter to the little girl within me, the one full of color, softness, imagination, and fire.
Inspired by traditional Mexican dolls, I reimagined her with bold curls, full lips, and a fierce softness that reflects the beauty of being unapologetically Latina. The flaming corazón at her center represents passion, resilience, faith, and the love we carry even after life tries to dim us.
She reminds us that healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who we were before the world told us to shrink. This artwork is about honoring your inner niña, being gentle with her, and allowing her joy, creativity, and light to continue living through you.
