Story Behind the Work.

“En Mi Ventana Nopal” is filled with nostalgia, the kind that feels like abuelita’s house, warm kitchens, and open windows on summer mornings. 

Mexican ventanas have a magic to them; they hold memories, stories, and views of home.

The nopal sitting in the window represents the pride we carry no matter where we live. Even when we’re far from our homeland, pieces of it still live in us, in our colors, our foods, our childhood memories.

This artwork honors the idea that home is not a place,

t’s a feeling we carry everywhere.
